Job Description
Job Purpose:
Establish new customer accounts in the Specialized/ Fleet Division at TNT Transport Services and increase company revenue.
Primary Duties:
- Search out new potential customers with commodity related to the Specialized/Fleet division with capability of establishing new company accounts
- Make cold calls to new and existing prospects with the goal of closing the deal and turning prospects into active accounts.
- Quote and negotiate rates with potential and existing customers meeting company gross margin requirements
- Communicate with dispatch on all levels to assure proper dispatch needs on potential or existing orders
- Service all orders, quote follow ups and customer communication
- Produce a sales activity report for management on a weekly basis summarizing activities and new revenue
Prerequisites
- 10 + years sales experience in Specialized/Fleet Transportation and logistics industry
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Dispatch experience required
- Referrals and recent sales accomplishments required
- Computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge required
Skills/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of geographical areas of U.S.
- Commodity knowledge of oversized vehicles and equipment
- Equipment/Trailer knowledge (Step deck, RGN, Lowboy, etc…)
- Excellent communication and written skills
